Crushing the Question

Have you ever had a “knowing” deep down inside of you? You can’t explain it, you have no physical evidence of it, all you know is that, well, you “Know.” You KNOW that you could learn the piano and be really good at it; you KNOW that you could start that business and be successful at it; you KNOW that you could draw or paint and inspire others because of it. You just “Know.” No one has said anything to you; no one has applauded you, and no one has encouraged or inspired you. All you know is that you “Know.”

In fact, the only thing you really have is more like a longing that turns into a feeling and ends with a question mark that leaves the residue of hopelessness on your heart. Oh you know what I mean. It sounds like this, “Am I?” “Can I?” “Should I?” Did you notice the question mark? Not the one I typed at the end of the statement, but the one inside the statement as you read. Where did it leave you? Let me guess, in Disqualification. Am I close? So what creates the question mark and disqualification? The hesitation to RESPOND to the Knowing. Hesitation will always create a question mark that leads to disqualification while Curiosity and Response will destroy the question mark and lead to Possibility.

The next time your “Knowing” taps your heart, don’t hesitate, RESPOND. Instead of waiting to hear “Am I?” RESPOND to “I AM!” Instead of giving in to hopelessness and tolerating “Can I?” RESPOND to “I CAN!” Instead of waiting for someday for “Should I?” RESPOND with confidence because “I SHOULD!” And instead of wallowing in self-doubt wondering “Will I?” Stand in the authority given to you from above declaring “I WILL!” Then take a step into action, crushing the question mark under your feet.
