A Letter to the Creative

Dear Wonderful “Woulda,” Amazing “Shoulda” and Inspiring Creative “Coulda,”

I see you, I hear you and I know you are there. I see the ache in your heart to create, as you quietly put others before yourself and what you were created to reveal. I hear the creative ideas that color outside the lines in your thoughts, as the family schedule pulls you out of your creative world, into a foreign world finding it hard to breath. I see the glow in your face when you pass by a painting that leaves you in awe and I see the child-like curiosity in your eyes that draw you to the art like finding a long lost friend.

You are the one who goes to a street fair and every time you pass by an artisan a lump wells up in your throat. You are the one who happens to walk by an outdoor art show and your heart breaks. You are the one who goes to an art museum and spends most of your time choking back tears and disappointment over what you feel you have lost. You are the one that wants to go to the Art Show but no one will go with you. So when the County Fair comes along you devise a plan to send the family to see the animals while you excuse yourself to use the restroom. But instead, you intentionally detour to the Art and Photography Building and there you find solace. There you catch your breath. And there you find evidence of the TRIBE you long to be a part of.

The truth of who you are as a Creative, WILL resonate deep inside you. You don’t have to Agree with the Truth, but I can guarantee, you WILL resonate with the truth.

You may be in Agreement with a Lie someone told you, that you are not an artist, but you WILL resonate with the Truth, because you ARE.

Why?

Because, the Resonance is the evidence of your Authentic Self. That Resonance is evidence of the Creative “Image” you were Created to be. You can Ignore it’s there, but you can never DENY it’s there. Every time you walk by a creative expression or a creative outlet, that Resonance reaches up and grabs your heart and sometimes it even takes your breath away.

I see you, I hear you and I know you’re there. You’re not alone. Others have walked the same path you are now walking. They know, we know, I know. It’s time to walk together, to breath, to see, to reveal all what you have been Created to Create and share. Your name is no longer “Coulda,” it is now “I Can!” Your name is no longer “Woulda,” it is now “I Will!” And your name is no longer “Shoulda,” it is now “I Must!”

Signed,

A Kingdom Creative son and former “Coulda,” “Woulda,” “Shoulda,”
